Our Story

I have been to many pub trivia nights in my time, but one really sticks out for me. I used to go to my local night in Putney, London, UK and loved the regular dose of excitement on an otherwise boring Monday night. The host was entertaining and original, and I kept on going back for more. After a while an opportunity came to host it myself.

With various contacts, I then had the chance to expand my own night to a few venues in London. Quiz Coconut was born. After hosting over 500 trivia events in 50+ pubs over London, I asked well over 15,000 questions! In addition I hosted corporate events for global companies such as Google, Pepsi, Deloitte and Disney. We have also run successful fundraisers for charities such as Alzheimer’s Society, Macmillan and Pancreatic Cancer Research.

Since 2014, we’ve hosted over 2,000 events for a variety of companies across UK and Canada.

Now a permanent resident in Toronto, and with a finely tuned team of professional hosts, we are bringing a fresh concept and British charm to the corporations of Ontario! Most of them have been held in the Greater Toronto Area, and we’ve travelled to Thunder Bay, Montreal, Quebec City and Calgary. We’ve run events at the top of the CN Tower and in front of Niagara Falls. We have also hosted a weekly public quiz night at the Stone Lion in the Beaches since 2016.

We appeared on City TV in 2018 quizzing the morning show host and we had a recurring slot on NewsTalk 1010.

The pandemic forced us to take our trademark fun online – where we crafted a Zoom-based experience that we could offer our clients so they could maintain and build culture remotely. It was a tough time for many, but we were pleased to be able to bring a small amount of enjoyment to people’s days. 500 virtual events later and 10,000 attendees entertained, they still remain popular for companies with remote workers.

In 2021 we launched a podcast (like everyone else!) A weekly trivia podcast, just ten questions an episode. We’ve since had 150,000 downloads and a healthy number of regular listeners.
