Toronto’s Best Venues For Corporate Events – 2022 Edition
Here is a selection of Toronto’s best venues for corporate events!
As we all know too well, some venues are better than others…
Some look after you like royalty and offer great food and service.
Some try to wrangle every dollar they can from you, with hidden charges and cardboard food.
Whether it be a dive bar or fancy restaurant, there are good and bad choices to be made. Here’s a helpful selection of Toronto’s best venues for hosting corporate events at, that we have experienced first hand. They’ve received positive feedback from our clients, and we’re happy to recommend them.
The main point is as a portable corporate entertainment provider, we can go anywhere. It’s advisable to choose a private or semi-private area, as we will be making noise. Hopefully laughing too…
Lots of potential clients worry about the AV in the venue. Don’t! Once you’ve decided on your chosen place, we can liaise with the events manager there to work out what we need to provide. Some venues have excellent in house systems, some require us to bring a powered speaker and microphone. In most cases, you do not need to pay extra for any AV kit for our session – we can bring this as part of the service.

Right in the heart of the downtown business district, the downstairs area can be booked out for a reasonable amount. Buffet food was tasty and well presented. Complete with ping pong tables for fun after the quiz.

A great option for a good value, cheerful downtown spot with two bookable spaces for groups of 30-50. The top room of the pub is private with its own bar. On the main floor there is a room off the side of the main area also with its own bar. Fill it with 30 people and the atmosphere will be great!

$$$$ / suits crowds of 100-150 / https://mcewangroup.ca/bymark/
We hosted a fabulous outdoor event in the summer of 2022 on their patio. Beneath the towers of the financial district, it’s about as central as it gets for lawyers and bankers. There is also a downstairs room which looks very classy. The client reported that it wasn’t cheap – but probably it’s in line with other such high end locations in the heart of downtown. They did say the food was fantastic.
$$ / suits crowds of 60 / bottomlineto.com/
This venue has a semi-private area which can hold about 60, and they’ve recently added a bar. Offering cash bars or inclusive packages, this could be a good afternoon choice when alcohol consumption may be lower.

Also part of the O&B roster, this is more of a sit down affair, with a more thorough menu featuring steak choices and sea food. There are rooms such as the Red Room which can accommodate 30-40 people and offer a private space for entertaining afterwards.
Goose Island / Biermarkt (Esplanade)
$$ / suits crowds of 20-100 / thebiermarkt.com
A recent favourite.
This place has many options as it combines the BierMarkt location and the Goose Island brewpub. You can have a laid back social event in the brewpub for 20-30 people, or a more dedicated catered event in the Bottle Shop. There’s a large interior space for the larger crowds. Food is decent and the beer selection is massive.

Upstairs behind popular hotspot El Catrin you can find The Loft, which is great for groups of around 50. There is an area off the main dining section with high tables which is great for an event, and people reported favourable food and service.

This venue is laid out over several floors, so there are a couple of options for spaces to entertain, including a covered patio.

For a unique experience in Yorkville, the covered garden here is totally different. Small and cosy, with classy mediterranean decor this is an outdoor dining experience at any time of the year. You can hire the whole thing depending on the date. We held a bunch event with Bain and it was a hit with the punters and organisers!

This classy location has a first floor which can be set up for 20 or up to 50. Finely tuned dining and plenty of servers on hand, this is a good choice for a more sophisticated event and one of the best venues for corporate events in Yorkville.
Shenanigans (Yonge & St. Clair)
$ / suits crowds of 50-150 / shenaniganspubpatio.com
You may know it as Scallywags, the name has recently changed but the venue is much the same. For a summer event, the covered rooftop patio is brilliant. It’s not expensive, with decent food and drinks. A section of the rooftop can be hired for an event for 30-40 people, or commandeer the whole place with 100 people. In the winter there is a regular pub room downstairs, though we’ve not hosted an event there yet.
Piano Piano (Mount Pleasant)
$$$ / suits crowds of up to 60 / pianopianotherestaurant.com
A recent event hosted here was a success. A tasty set menu with delicious choices, cocktails and a good wine selection. A small outdoor patio for mingling, and a room which lends itself well to a good atmosphere when there is 40-50 people in it.

$ (just the ferry) / suits a crowd of around 20
A popular choice last summer was island trivia! Find a spot anywhere… and do an outdoor quiz. For power reasons, a speaker and microphone is not possible so this works for small groups where they can all hear the host speaking.
Etobicoke (more to come)
$$$ / suits crowds of up to 150 / vue.bypeterandpauls.com
With a panoramic ‘vue’ over the golf course, this classy venue has a great outlook. This is a dedicated event space so it suits a large crowd well, would be a good idea for a company evening event or office party.
